The correct ASL sentence structure would be You-name-what? The WH question always goes at the end. "What your name" is just signed English.

You could also sign "YOUR NAME WHAT" which is preferred over "YOU NAME WHAT"....i agree this is Signed English, as are quite a few signs I have found on here...

Is it true that you can choose any sign you would like for your name? For example, my name starts with a "d" so I take the sign for "d" and place it on my eyes because I wear glasses. My son has long hair so I know a lady who takes the letter "e" are runs it along her hair line.

You can really do that?

Those are all great name signs, but it is very important that your name sign is given to you by a Deaf person.  (You can make suggestions, of course!)
