The X sweeping across the chin is the variation that I am familiar with too.

breakfast-cereal/grain-cereal: Right X-hand alternating with 1-hand inching across from L-side of chin to R-side. The bowl and scooping H-hand is also used for breakfast-cereal or soup.

Any suggestions on signing "cornflake"... maybe sign "corn" and fs "flake"?
