The H&P text says that PLAY and PARTY are the same sign. Then in a later chapter, they show PARTY as "PLAY" but initialized with the P-hands. I learned (and have seen) PARTY signed like PLAY, but with both Y-hands moving right-and-left in unison (with pinkies moving in the same direction, not moving alternately).
