Who are we?
The founders of Signing Savvy include educators, interactive media designers, and sign language experts. Company members have been involved in the development of the Personal Communicator, which won the Discover Magazine Software of the Year award in 1995, the popular ASL Browser online dictionary, launched in 1997, and the Signing Online web-based sign language courses which came online in 2003.
Signing Savvy is a new company which continues this legacy of developing cutting-edge, easy-to-use tools to complement your sign language learning. The Signing Savvy web site launched in January 2009.
Our signing expert has over 25 years of experience signing. He has had formal training through an interpreter training program, as well as a bachelors and masters degree in special education focusing on Deaf and Hard of Hearing and literacy. He also taught at a Big Ten University in their teacher training program for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and continues his involvement in the field.
