We are passionate about sign language education and increasing communication through the use of sign language. Any one can visit the Signing Savvy website or create a Registered Guest account for free. We offer free access to all of our signs through browsing and limited searches because we want everyone to have access to learn sign language.

We created Signing Savvy in hopes to increase communication between (1) individuals that are hard of hearing and deaf, (2) teachers, interpreters, and support staff that work with them, and (3) their families. Given over 90% of deaf and hard of hearing children are born into hearing families, we are especially passionate about increasing the use of sign language at home and supporting that endeavor by providing tools that can be used by teachers/interpreters/support staff to share sign language used at school with parents, who can then learn, practice, and incorporate sign language at home.
 

Why is there a cost for full membership?

We hope that those that love to use Signing Savvy a lot and want to take advantage of the more advanced features would become full members in order to help support us.

We would not be able to offer these features and maintain them (or even have the Signing Savvy website) without charging for membership.  There is a cost to creating, maintaining, and growing the website - equipment, software, hardware, and staff costs. We're always working to improve Signing Savvy, add to our content, and enhance our features - our work is never done!

What is WonderGrove Kids?

WonderGrove Kids is an innovative animation company that we partnered with to create a sign language version of their animated lessons. In the sign language version, not only are the animations closed captioned, but the key concepts presented throughout the animations are reenforced with sign language videos from Signing Savvy.

There are over 100 animated lessons designed for Pre-K through 2nd Grade, with 2000 extension lessons 99% aligned to Common Core State Standards.
