ACT, PERFORM compared to AGGRESSIVE is so similar, I tend to wonder if most signers notice the difference. It is of my opinion that this is one of those signs that is more prone toward context than being in a specific direction. Please confirm my opinion. Thanks.

This is one of my "close but not the same" vocabulary for beginners. One moves upward (acting/performing) and one moves downward (aggressive). ‎but after you learn it and use it 7 times (a rule for practicing anything new) it feels very different.  If it helps, think of the AGGRESSIVE as being an OUTWARD behavior, maybe that will help you to remember that that sign movement is out and down. I hope that makes sense.
