Word List Author Note: "The river is loud, it's noisy." Two different signs. Dr. B signs RIVER as WATER + "rippling surface". The 'wiggling fingers of the ripples' are always used to show a flowing of liquids or people/animals in motion. The wiggling fingers are used for WEEP, SWEAT, BLEED, etc. --> flowing liquids, thus "river."
