WAIT vs. WAITING -- Dr. B

I sign WAIT without the 'rolling' movement shown on Savvy. I USE THE ROLLING movement when I am conveying 'waiting and waiting and waiting.' REMEMBER: many verbs can be signed with a 'rolling movement' and the meaning changes to an ON-GOING action, such as driving-and-driving and as in standing-and-standing (as if you're waiting in line forever) or sitting-and-sitting (in a waiting room).

It looks like they may have updated the sign since you posted your comment, Dr. B (assuming I understand what you meant by rolling correctly). I wish they would have both. It's a great reminder plus those of us creating lists from chapters in books may need one for one chapter and the other for a different chapter.

We did update this sign video. You can use a rolling movement to indicate lots of waiting.
