Sign Word List: Bravo 11, with Notes -- Dr. B
Word 22 of 40

Word List Author Note: [3 varieties with explanations (and varieties of WOMAN) plus GENTLEMAN and LADY] This is how Dr. B teaches the sign. Bravo (Billy) starts with A-hand, then moves to 5-hand, thumb tip on chest. You can start with the A-hand (for MAN or WOMAN), or start with the 5-hand (for MAN or WOMAN), or start with BOY/male (for MAN) or GIRL/female (for WOMAN). Here, the sign ends with a 'casual angle' of the 5-hand. The "proper" way is to keep the 5-hand vertical (upright). [Note: The signs LADY and GENTLEMAN wiggle the fingers of the 5-hand, with the length of the thumb making contact with the chest.]
