Word List Author Note: Possessive of SHE. Open palm shows "possessive" for pronouns. If you click "ASL 2," you'll see an accepted alternative by simply making a slight 'double motion.' Another sign on Signing Savvy describe this as a "plural" form. I disagree. The plural of HERS (when it's one female with one or more others), the word and the sign would be THEIRS. NOTE: The signs for pronouns are 'performed' in the direction/location of the person (thing) that you are referring to. So HERS can be signed anywhere in front of you, and the sign should be OFF the sightline. (Pronouns signed ON the sightline are "second person" pronouns referring to the person you are speaking TO.)
