Lindsey Williams

Lindsey Williams is a hearing interpreter, mentor, and wheelchair user. She is a former instructor and Practicum Supervisor for Lansing Community College’s Sign Language Interpreter Program. She holds a masters degree in Interpreting Studies and Communication Equity from St. Catherine University, bachelor’s from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, an associate’s degree from LCC, as well as BEI, EIPA, and RID Ed:K-12 interpreting credentials. Lindsey revised the LCC Practicum to include ethics training and business skill development, and helped facilitate the development of the Mentorship Program in the Sign Language Club. Lindsey’s professional research is centered around interpreters who self-identified as having a disability and their experiences in the field. In her free time she enjoys reading, gardening and cooking, gaming, and herbal medicine-making.
