This is a classic Halloween book that is often done as a "fingerplay" (a story told on the hands with young children to work on counting skills).  The version of the book I took these words from is actually illustrated by Ben Mantle so that the children can see an illustrated representation of the fingerplay.  

I like to link books with other activities (either cooking or crafts) to further work with the vocabulary and enhance the language experience.

One suggestion is to make Pumpkin Balls covered in white chocolate as an enrichment activity. (see: https://www.signingsavvy.com/wordlist/88048/recipe%20pumpkin%20cake%20balls )
