Sign vocabulary (new and review) used in Unit 6 of "Learning American Sign Language" (H&P). Vocabulary appears as target vocabulary at the back of the Unit and/or as vocabulary used in dialogues, exercises, and/or other examples.

Verb Pairs:  open-DOOR [too low in the text];  close-DOOR [too low in text];  open-WINDOW;  close-WINDOW;  open-DRAWER (one single movement);  close-DRAWER (one single movement);   open-BOOK;   close-BOOK;   TURN-ON [knob type];  TURN-OFF [knob type];  LIGHTS-turn-on [orientation is important (ceiling? lamp? wall?  1? or 2?];  LIGHTS-turn-off  [orientation is important, as above];  TURN-ON (lever-type);  TURN-OFF (lever-type);  TURN-ON/OFF (push-button)

Other Verbs:  WRITE;  DRIVE/car (compare DRIVE-TO);  BICYCLE [the book labels it as 'RIDE-BICYCLE,' which should include the "legs straddle" sign]
