Word List Author Note: '13' is a "3 with motion." All numbers 10 through 19 are 'the number' with motion. the numbers 11 through 15 are "palm inward." The 3-hand must be modified by keeping the two extended fingers together. With the palm in, move the two extended fingers back and forth (together), pivoting at the bottom knuckle. The thumb remains extended. 14 and 15 are similar: palm in, fingers extended, moving together at the bottom knuckle. For '14,' the thumb is tucked in; for '15,' the thumb is out. (For '11' and '12,' use a flicking motion (off the thumb). Flick the index finger only for '11' (flicking a 1); flick the "2" fingers for '12.' There are several ways to sign the numbers 16 through 19. In class, we do the "modified 10" plus the 6, 7, 8, or 9.
