Here, the sign ends with a 'casual angle' of the 5-hand. The "proper" way is to keep the 5-hand vertical (upright). [Note: The signs LADY and GENTLEMAN wiggle the fingers of the 5-hand, with the length of the thumb making contact with the chest.]
