Yes the sign for "WE" can be the 'P' that goes back and forth but that saying that us. If you want to be correct you would not use this sign unless you are signing exact english. This goes along with the sign for "CAN" you would not say "CAN I?" That is not ASL

The gloss for what you are referring too would be we-2. It would also work for we-3 using the number three waved between three people. (note this is coming from an ASL 1 student at the end of my first quarter and I am not an expert)

I've seen life long asl users sign 'WE', with an upturned 'P' that rocks back and forth between themselves and the person they are including in 'WE' ...as if to sign, 'you and me'. can anyone verify?
