Word List Author Note: The first sign means to "leave or depart or to 'get out' ". Dr. B starts the sign in front of his body and moves away (directionally appropriate). If direction/location does not matter, he moves to the dominant side. The second sign connotes a "vacating" or "being absent" . . . but there's another sign for "absent." There's another sign for "leave/abandon" (or "I left my book at home"). Learn these two signs (without turning to Costello). Also know the third sign that I taught: DROP-OFF (or "abandon"... to "leave it there"), which is Costello's LEAVE #2. Costello's sign for VACATE is listed under GO #1.
